OSRS Agility Training Guide: Levels 1-99

The best OSRS Agility training route depends on your goal. Rooftops give a clear path and Marks of Grace. Brimhaven, the Wilderness course, and Hallowed Sepulchre can give faster XP. Other courses trade speed for less input or useful loot.

This 1-99 Agility guide gives you all three paths. Use the route table first. Then check each course's needs and risks.

Pick your route

Pick your route: Your main goal, Good route
Your main goalGood route
Simple 1-99 pathUse rooftop courses from Draynor to Ardougne.
Fast XPUse early quest XP, Brimhaven, Wilderness, then Hallowed Sepulchre.
Marks of GraceUse rooftops. Canifis is strong for marks at many levels.
Less clickingTry Colossal Wyrm at 50 or 62. Try Prifddinas at 75.
XP plus coinsUse Agility Pyramid from level 30.
XP plus lootUse Hallowed Sepulchre when you have its quest and floor levels.

No route wins for every account. A fast course may need a quest. It may also need more focus. The Wilderness route adds player-killer risk. A rooftop route is slower, but it is easy to plan.

What does Agility do?

Agility is a members' skill. It opens shortcuts across the game. A higher level also helps your run energy. It slows energy loss as you run. It speeds up energy gain while you walk or stand.

At level 99, you can run about 49% longer than at level 1. You also gain run energy about 65% faster. These gains help in quests, clues, boss trips, and long runs.

Agility courses give the main XP. Most courses are loops with set blocks. Some blocks can fail. A fall may deal damage and slow the lap.

Set up before you train

Do these checks before your first lap:

  1. Check the course level and quest need.
  2. Set a goal for XP, marks, loot, or ease.
  3. Keep your weight near zero when you can.
  4. Bring run energy help if the course needs it.
  5. Bring food if you may fail and take damage.
  6. Bank gear you do not want to risk in the Wilderness.

Low weight cuts run energy use. It does not raise the pass rate on most blocks. Food still helps at low Agility or low Hitpoints. Summer pies can boost Agility by five levels. Not all course gates allow a boost, so check first.

OSRS Agility courses by level

This is the simple rooftop route. The XP ranges were checked on August 22, 2026. They assume steady laps. Your real rate may be lower due to falls, breaks, lag, or missed clicks.

80-90Rellekka Rooftop50,000-63,000Hard Fremennik Diary boosts the course.
90-99Ardougne Rooftop66,000-70,000Elite Ardougne Diary boosts marks.

These levels are clean switch points. You do not have to move at once. Stay if you like the old course or still need marks. Move if the next course fits your goal and unlocks.

Levels 1-20: Draynor Village

Draynor Rooftop can be used from level 1. It gives about 9,000-10,000 XP per hour. It also gives Marks of Grace.

You can use the Gnome Stronghold course instead. Its blocks cannot fail. Yet Draynor starts your mark stack, so it fits the full rooftop plan.

Quest XP can skip much of this range. The Tourist Trap lets you put two XP rewards into Agility. Those rewards alone can take a new account to level 26. Pick quests only if their other needs fit your account.

Levels 20-30: Al Kharid

Al Kharid Rooftop gives about 11,000-12,000 XP per hour. You may run out of energy here. Bring a form of energy restore if that keeps your laps smooth.

You can stay at Draynor through level 30. This can make sense if your run energy is poor. It can also help if you know that route well.

Levels 30-40: Varrock

Varrock Rooftop gives about 11,000-14,000 XP per hour. It is the normal next step for a rooftop route.

Agility Pyramid is now open too. Early rates can be near 25,000 XP per hour. Each full lap can also give a pyramid top. Simon Templeton pays 10,000 coins for one. Falls are more common at low levels, so food and heat care matter.

Levels 40-50: Canifis

Canifis is in Morytania. You need Priest in Peril to reach it. The course gives about 14,000-17,000 XP per hour. That rate is not great for pure speed.

The draw is Marks of Grace. Canifis has a high mark rate for its level. Its mark rate also avoids the usual high-level cut. This makes it a good place to work on graceful.

Falador opens at 50 and gives far more XP. Move there if speed matters more than marks. Do not stay at Canifis by habit if you no longer need its main reward.

Levels 50-60: Falador or Colossal Wyrm

Falador Rooftop gives about 29,000-34,000 XP per hour. It also gives direct Marks of Grace. It is the simple pick.

The basic Colossal Wyrm course opens at 50. It needs Children of the Sun. It gives up to about 31,000 XP per hour. You cannot fail its blocks. Long move scenes make it less click-heavy than most courses.

The basic Wyrm route also gives termites and bone shards. Termites can buy amylase packs and other Wyrm rewards. This route is a sound pick when less input matters more than top XP.

Levels 60-70: Seers, Wyrm, or Sepulchre

Seers' Village Rooftop gives about 40,000-44,000 XP per hour with no diary teleport. The hard Kandarin Diary lets Camelot Teleport land by the course start. That can lift rates to about 50,000-56,000 XP per hour.

At 62, the advanced Colossal Wyrm route opens. It gives up to about 42,000-43,000 XP per hour. It keeps the same low-input style as the basic route.

Hallowed Sepulchre also opens at 52 after Sins of the Father. Floor 2 opens at 62. It can beat rooftops, but it asks for timing and practice. Use it here if you want to learn it early.

Levels 70-80: Pollnivneach or new paths

Pollnivneach Rooftop gives about 47,000-51,000 XP per hour. The hard Desert Diary can raise this to about 53,000-58,000. The diary also helps the Mark of Grace timer.

Hallowed Sepulchre Floor 3 opens at 72. Floor 4 now opens at 77. These levels reflect the August 12, 2026 update. A practiced player can get about 71,700 XP per hour on Floor 3 with no coffin loot. Floor 4 can reach about 81,000 with no loot.

Prifddinas opens at 75 after Song of the Elves. It gives about 60,000 XP per hour at first. Its portals can give crystal shards. It also needs less focus than Sepulchre.

Levels 80-90: Rellekka or Hallowed Sepulchre

Rellekka Rooftop gives about 50,000-53,000 XP per hour. The hard Fremennik Diary can raise this to about 59,000-63,000. The diary can also speed up the mark timer.

Hallowed Sepulchre is much faster with good play. Floor 4 stays open through this range. Floor 5 opens at 87. A clean no-loot Floor 5 run can give about 88,500 XP per hour. Great play can go higher.

Sepulchre is not low effort. Missed traps cost time. Looting coffins also cuts the XP rate. Use Rellekka or Prifddinas if you want a calmer route.

Levels 90-99: Ardougne or Sepulchre

Ardougne Rooftop gives about 66,000-70,000 XP per hour. It is the last rooftop course. It gives Marks of Grace with a simple loop. The elite Ardougne Diary can raise the mark rate.

Hallowed Sepulchre remains the faster XP route. Good Floor 5 runs can pass 98,000 XP per hour in ideal guide tests. More normal no-loot play may sit near 88,500. Learning, loot, and mistakes can pull that down.

Prifddinas is still valid. Rates can rise to about 65,000 XP per hour from level 90. It gives crystal shards and a less tense loop.

How long does 1-99 Agility take?

There is no one true time. The course, diary perks, falls, and breaks all matter. So does your skill at Sepulchre.

A full rooftop route works out near 205-236 hours at the listed rates. This is lap time only. It does not count bank time, long breaks, or missed clicks.

A high-focus route can be much faster. The rates checked on August 22 put the work after level 33 near 147-160 hours. Add time for the early quests. Add more time while you learn each hard method.

Use this rule for your own goal:

Hours left = XP left / your real XP per hour

Track your rate for 30 minutes. Double the XP gained. That gives a fair hourly rate for your own play. It is more useful than a perfect rate from a guide.

Fast Agility training route

Use this route when XP is the main goal. It has more needs and more risk than rooftops.

87-99Sepulchre Floor 5About 88,500-98,500 XP/hrHard floor; lower while learning.

Skip early laps with quests

Four early quests can give 19,700 Agility XP in all. They are The Tourist Trap, Recruitment Drive, The Depths of Despair, and The Grand Tree. That XP is enough for level 33 from a new start. The quests have other needs and fights. Check each one before you plan the skip.

Do not do a quest only for Agility if it blocks your build. A short course grind may be better for a pure or low combat account.

Use Brimhaven for fast low-level XP

The Brimhaven Agility Arena has a 200-coin entry fee. Floor spikes need level 20. A summer pie can let you use them from level 15. Repeating that block can give up to 30,000 XP per hour.

At level 40, you can pass every block. Tag the lit pillar each minute. Fill the wait time with useful blocks. This can give about 45,000-50,000 XP per hour without Karamja gloves. Karamja gloves 2 or better add 10% to Arena XP and ticket XP.

Treat the Wilderness as a risk choice

The Wilderness course gate needs level 52. You can boost in from 47 with a summer pie. The first pipe needs level 49, so you may need to boost again.

The whole course is in level 50-56 Wilderness. It is a singles-plus zone. A player can attack you even if a monster is on you. Bring only what you accept losing.

You must pass each block in order for the lap bonus. The course also gives Agility tickets. Large ticket turn-ins raise the XP per ticket. The guide total checked on August 22 can reach about 50,000-60,000 XP per hour with falls and tickets.

The loot fee is optional. It costs 150,000 coins and is lost when you die or leave. Skip it if your goal is XP and you do not want that added risk.

Learn Hallowed Sepulchre in steps

Hallowed Sepulchre needs Sins of the Father. Entry starts at level 52. Floors open at 52, 62, 72, 77, and 87.

Each floor has a timer and trap paths. A trap hit often moves you back and costs time. Coffins give Hallowed marks and loot. Skipping coffins gives more Agility XP.

The 12 August 2026 update cut Floor 4 from 82 to 77. It cut Floor 5 from 92 to 87. Floor entry can now be boosted. The Grand Hallowed Coffin needs 84 Thieving or 92 Agility. Those two needs can also be boosted.

Start with safe, clean runs. Add loot once you can beat the timer. Good play matters far more here than on a rooftop.

Lower-input and reward routes

Fast XP is not always the best use of your time. A route you can keep doing may beat one you quit.

Lower-input and reward routes: Method, Level, XP per hour, Why pick it
MethodLevelXP per hourWhy pick it
Colossal Wyrm basic50Up to 31,000Long move scenes and no failed blocks.

Agility Pyramid30About 25,000-44,000XP plus a 10,000-coin top per full lap.
Prifddinas75About 60,000-65,000Lower input and crystal shards.
Brimhaven floor spikes20Varies with timingOne repeated block; see the fast route.
Rooftops1-99See route tableClear path and Marks of Grace.

Colossal Wyrm got longer laps on 12 August 2026. Jagex raised XP and reward drops to match. Its XP per hour stayed close to the old rate. The change made it need fewer inputs each hour.

Prifddinas needs Song of the Elves. Random portals skip part of the course. They can also give crystal shards. It is a good late-game middle ground.

Agility Pyramid is best when coins matter too. Low levels fail more often. At level 75, its blocks no longer fail. High-level rates can reach about 44,000 XP per hour.

Marks of Grace and graceful

Marks of Grace are a reward from rooftops and several non-rooftop courses. Brimhaven and Colossal Wyrm do not award them directly. Those courses use indirect reward paths that can lead to amylase instead. You can spend Marks of Grace with Grace in the Rogues' Den. The full graceful set costs 260 marks.

The full set cuts 25 kg of weight. It also raises run energy gain by 30% while worn. Marks can also buy amylase packs. Amylase is used for stamina potions.

Most rooftop courses cut the mark rate once you are 20 levels above the course need. The rate falls to 20% of normal. Canifis does not have this cut.

This is why Canifis can stay useful past level 60. It can give about 12-18 marks per hour. Falador gives much more XP, so choose based on what you need.

Diary perks also change marks:

  • Kandarin easy, medium, and hard add mark rerolls at Seers.
  • Desert hard can shorten the mark timer at Pollnivneach.
  • Fremennik hard can shorten the timer at Rellekka.
  • Ardougne elite adds a reroll and can shorten the timer.

Pick marks up as you see them. They last for 10 minutes on the ground. A new mark on the same tile resets that timer.

Death here has special rules. Hardcore Ironmen lose status on death there. Unprotected gear moves to its deathbank. A later unsafe death can wipe gear left in that bank. Clear it before you take a new risk.

The Wilderness course is a different kind of danger. Other players can attack you. Do not wear graceful there if you do not accept the death rules. Check your kept items before you enter.

Route examples

New main account that wants graceful

Use Draynor, Al Kharid, and Varrock. Then use Canifis from 40. Stay until you have enough marks for the pieces you want. Move to Falador once XP matters more.

This route is not the fastest. It gives a useful outfit and a calm path. Later rooftops will keep adding marks.

Quested account that wants 70 fast

Use quest XP for the early levels. Train at Brimhaven to 47. Boost into the Wilderness course if you accept the risk. Move to Sepulchre at 62 if Sins of the Father is done.

If the Wilderness is not worth the risk, use Ape Atoll, Falador, Seers, or Colossal Wyrm. A safe route that you finish is better than a risky route you avoid.

Late-game account that wants strong XP

Use Hallowed Sepulchre. Learn each floor before the next one opens. Skip most loot while XP is the goal. Add late-floor coffins when rewards matter more.

Use Prifddinas or rooftops when you want less focus. This can help you avoid burn-out on the way to 99.

Player who wants less clicking

Use rooftops until 50. Then try the basic Colossal Wyrm route. Move to its advanced path at 62. Use Prifddinas at 75 if Song of the Elves is done.

These routes give less XP than clean Sepulchre runs. They may still be better for long sessions.

OSRS Agility training FAQ

How do I train Agility in OSRS?

Complete Agility courses and pass each block in order. Rooftops give a clear route from 1 to 99. Quests, Brimhaven, the Wilderness course, and Hallowed Sepulchre can speed up parts of the grind.
