FancyHire's New Era Started With One Goal
FancyHire began in 2017 with one goal. We wanted to help players make progress without giving all their free time to the grind.
That goal still shapes the brand. The way we speak about it has changed.
Why This Page Is Still Here
Newera is an old page on the FancyHire site. The archived version tried to explain why the service felt new. It used public rate charts, broad rank claims, and claims about other firms.
We kept the URL because it is part of the site's past. Yet keeping the page does not mean keeping its old claims. Some were too broad. Some lacked clear proof. Some put the focus on other firms instead of the player.
This new page has a smaller job. It states why FancyHire began. It also shows why we now use plain facts and honest limits.
The Problem We Set Out to Solve
Old School RuneScape asks for time. A lot of it. That can be part of the fun. It can also get in the way of the parts you want to play.
Players may have work, school, family, or other plans. They may still want a skill goal, a quest done, a Fire Cape, or a diary task. Yet they may not want each free hour to go into the same slow loop.
That was the problem we saw. The goal was not to tell people how to play. It was to give them a choice. They could ask for help with the grind, then get back to the parts of the game they liked.
That core idea has not changed.
FancyHire Started in 2017
FancyHire was founded in 2017 to help busy OSRS players make progress. Some players wanted help with long game goals. That purpose still guides the service.
We offer hourly Skill Training. We quote Quests, Fire Cape, and Achievement Diaries as fixed-price work. Each goal and price is agreed in Discord before payment. You can see the approved service types on our OSRS services page.
Why the Framing Changed
The old page tried to prove value with loud claims. It used charts and broad claims about the market. It also spoke about people and other firms in ways we would not use now.
The core purpose did not need those claims. A player needs to know what help is offered. They need to know how the quote works. They also need to know the limits and risks.
So the frame changed. We moved the focus back to the player's goal. We stopped using public charts as a trust pitch. We cut claims that did not have clear proof.
The rule now is plain. Say what we do. Say what we know. Say where the limits are.
The Principles We Use Now
Clear scope comes first. A person reviews the goal in Discord. Scope and price are agreed before payment. Quotes and support stay with people, not a web checkout.
Honest limits come next. FancyHire is independent of Jagex. Any service on an OSRS account has a real ban risk. We will not call that risk gone. For unfinished work, only FancyHire credit may apply under the Credit Policy.
Proof needs a source and a date. FancyHire team records show 5000+ completed orders as of May 2026. The team reports a lifetime ban rate under 1% as of August 20, 2026. Neither claim is an outside audit. Both describe past work, not what will happen on your account.

These rules are less loud than the old pitch. They also give a player more useful facts before a choice.
Why the Old Claims Were Retired
The old page used broad rank claims. It used public charts to judge value. It made claims about how other firms worked. It also made social claims that were not backed by clear public proof.
Those claims no longer help a player make a sound choice. A bold line is not proof. A chart does not explain the scope of one account. A claim about another firm does not show how FancyHire will handle your goal.
We retired that frame instead of trying to make it sound new. We do not claim that Jagex backs our work. We do not act as if account risk can be removed. We do not claim tools or support times that we do not have.
The better test is simple. Can we state the offer in plain words? Can we show where a fact came from? Can we be clear about risk? If not, the claim does not belong here.
